Job Description

The Damage Prevention Consultant (DPC) is the driving force behind developing new sales leads, identifying new opportunities, and expanding sales to current customers. Working in a team environment, the DPC must communicate with Customer Service Representatives (CSR), marketing, production, and management to provide the customer with the highest level of service. The DPC must cultivate relationships with a wide variety of people, gaining trust and a better understanding of the customer’s needs and requirements. This role will work in a variety of markets with a focus on the energy or electric industry. You will be very involved in associations and market research, and will help our team of DPCs better understand the electric industry and the customers served.


  • Engage current customer base, pinpointing opportunities to expand the business
  • Identifying new customers and cultivating relationships
  • Attain and apply industry knowledge to better serve our customers
  • Work with our network of Independent Manufacturers Reps (Reps) and leverage their relationships
  • Participate in industry trade groups and associations
  • Analyze customer needs, then work with the DPC team to prepare solutions based presentations
  • Communicate industry knowledge and help us in our goal to help our customers save lives


  • Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • The ability to think quickly and communicate clearly
  • Self-motivation and can work without constant supervision
  • Electronically organized, comfortable using technology to improve efficiency
  • Aptitude for creating advantageous relationships
  • Capacity for seeing projects through to the next step in a long sales cycle


A successful DPC will be a big picture thinker, understanding that our customers don’t need us until they need us. They will be motivated to create as many relationships as they can maintain, using organizational skills and the technology afforded them.   Successfully develop new long-term customers, as well as increase sales to some current customers. Working in a fast paced environment that changes every day, the DPC must be able to stay on task and avoid distraction. The ability and desire to react in an ever changing marketplace, to identify opportunities, and to have fun with both your customers and co-workers is a must.


  • Travel to trade shows and industry meetings when business travel returns to a state of normal

  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team focusing on targeted accounts
  • Must poses the desire and drive for continuous improvement
